The flora of the Palos Verdes Peninsula always has something new to be discovered. Check out Nick Rocha’s M.S. work on Lycium brevipes and how the local population on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and the population that was on Catalina Island are now being recognized as Lycium hassei and restricted to these two places. Another plant for the Palos Verdes Peninsula that highlights its once island origin.
