The native plant, Chinese Houses (Collinsia heterophylla var. heterophylla), has been rediscovered on the peninsula! During a seed scouting event last Friday, they were spotted up on a hillside in full bloom. The last time this plant was last seen on the peninsula was back in 2001. Many folks thought this species might have become locally extripated but it is still hanging on. Exciting that this species can still be found on the peninsula!
