The native plant, Chinese Houses (Collinsia heterophylla var. heterophylla), has been rediscovered on the peninsula! During a seed scouting event last Friday, they were spotted up on a hillside in full bloom. This native plant was last seen back in 2001 and hasn’t been seen since. Many thought this species had become locally extripated. Exciting that this species can still be found on the peninsula!
